Over my time at Muhlenberg I have developed quantitative analysis skills through various research projects. Below are two examples of projects and papers that I have done that put these skills on display. The first is a paper regarding Competitive Balance in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. As described in the content, I created scatter plots, compiled data, and calculated a common competitive balance statistic to make an informed decision. In the second link, I was tasked with attempting to predict attendance in Major League Baseball. I scraped data from Baseball Reference and other sources and ran a linear regression to determine what factors have the greatest effect on a home team’s attendance.
